  • Part-Time; (.5) FTE day shift hours

  • Weekends: Saturday Rotation potential for every other

  • Area: Outpatient Women's Health

  • Locations: LUMC, off sites with departmental need.

About the Job

The Mammography Technologist performs mammography exams to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, along with related clerical and service duties.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform mammography exams following protocol while ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Prepare equipment and supplies and complete daily tasks to maintain a safe environment.

  • Maintain required licensure and continuing education.

  • Complete and document all QA testing per ACR and MQSA standards.

  • Communicate effectively with radiology staff, patients, and Medical Center teams to support smooth workflow.

Here is what you will need

Required

  • Specific Degree(s): Mammography, Radiologic Technology

  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

  • Associate Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education

Licensure/Certifications

Required

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) American Heart Association (AHA) only

  • Registered Radiographic Technologist

  • Registered Radiographic Technologist (Mammography)

Preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must maintain at least 15 Category 1 CEUs mammography–specific continuing education every 36 months.

  • Must perform at least 200 mammography exams within a 24‑month period.

  • Must complete 40 hours of initial mammography training.

  • Must perform 25 supervised mammography exams under an MQSA‑qualified individual.

Pay Range: $34.00 – $57.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
