Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Matawan, New Jersey
Description
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This position is offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the food retail industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing invoicing, payments, and reconciliations while maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Generate weekly, monthly, and on-demand customer invoices with precision and timeliness.
• Record customer payments in the general ledger, including checks and other payment methods, and reconcile discrepancies such as short payments or deductions.
• Monitor and analyze aging reports weekly, ensuring alignment with periodic general ledger closures.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries related to vendor invoicing and payment concerns.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations for special events and ad-hoc billings.
• Conduct various general ledger reconciliations as assigned.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and merchandisers, ensuring thorough follow-up on billing disputes until resolution.
• Support mid-year and year-end audits by preparing schedules, answering inquiries, and providing necessary documentation.
• Contribute to additional projects and tasks as needed to support business goals.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and pivot tables; familiarity with industry-specific software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Capability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
