POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Distribution Engineer is an entry-level engineering role responsible for supporting distribution, warehouse, and manufacturing operations through process improvement, capacity planning, and systems support initiatives. This position will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve efficiency, optimize material movement, and support ERP and operational change initiatives. This role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and a foundational understanding of engineering principles, process improvement methodologies, and data analysis. Under the guidance of more senior engineers, the Associate Distribution Engineer is expected to manage assigned projects, analyze operational processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within a regulated medical device environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Support process improvement and efficiency initiatives within distribution, warehouse, and manufacturing operations Assist with distribution and warehouse layout redesigns, capacity analysis, and process flow optimization Analyze and improve material movement, storage strategies, and picking/packing workflows Support operational changes and ChRP (Change Request Process) activities required by the Operations team Collaborate cross-functionally to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement Support ERP-related activities, including data analysis, system updates, testing, and user support Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support operational decision-making Participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Support Manufacturing and Distribution teams with troubleshooting and implementation of process changes Work under the guidance of senior engineers while progressively managing assigned tasks and projects independently ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance Ability to work under fast-paced conditions Ability to make decisions and use good judgement Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required Ability to successfully work with others Additional duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional work environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Profic
