Position Summary SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Sr. Process Engineer, the Process Engineering Technician provides support to the Process Engineers and operations to ensure production goals and productivity improvements are met. This person will provide technical and administrative support such as job set-up troubleshooting, prototyping and process improvement for both new and existing processes and machinery. Develop innovative and creative approaches for improvement in safety, quality, and productivity in processes and equipment. Occasional travel may be necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements
Must be able to use computer programs to assist in recording data, making labels, printing tooling layouts, obtaining prints and specifications, printing ship-sets, etc.

Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide cost reduction and productivity improvements through the support of continuous improvement projects such as validating and improving processes, set-ups and machine function.
Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Communicate between engineering, quality and operations to assist leaders and engineers with problem resolution.
Complete documentation accurately and on time such as reviewing, revising and drafting standard work procedures, work instructions, process documents and layouts.
Work cross functionally in designated areas to lead business needs to train operators, supervisors and other employees in new equipment and/or new processes.
Support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture such as participation in Starpoint teams.
Use appropriate PPE for designated areas across the site including manufacturing floor.

Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education required: 1. High School diploma or GED
- Associates degree or higher education a plus Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience required, preferably in maintenance tooling or machining. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools (e.g. fishbone, 5Why's).
5 years in improvement and reinforcement area Preferred Skills/ Qualifications: Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team to meet time sensitive deadlines
Proficiency in math, reading, writing
Personal/ Soft skills: Must demonstrate effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Strong analytical decision making and organization required.
Ability to lift and or move up to 30 lbs. Skills/ Competencies: 1. and computer skills such as multiplication, statistics, and Microsoft Office Suite required. 3-D modeling, Technical writing experience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents) a plus.
