Imaging & Deployment Technician

Healthcare IT | Onsite Hospital Environments

Duration: 9‑week contract

TEKsystems is supporting a large‑scale healthcare IT imaging initiative within a national hospital system. This is a high‑visibility, enterprise‑wide rollout supporting the deployment of a cloud‑based PACS platform that directly impacts radiologist workflows and patient care.

You’ll work hands‑on in hospital environments, collaborate with clinical and IT teams, and play a key role in modernizing diagnostic technology across the organization. Strong performance on this project may lead to additional assignments and future opportunities.

️ What You’ll Be Doing

As an Imaging & Deployment Technician, you will support the deployment of radiologist diagnostic workstations, ensuring systems are fully configured, tested, and optimized for clinical use.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Imaging and deploying Windows‑based desktops and workstations

  • Installing and configuring imaging software and healthcare applications

  • Setting up diagnostic monitors, peripherals, and accessories

  • Supporting PACS environments (Visage experience is a plus, not required)

  • Performing pre‑deployment readiness checks (power, network, workspace)

  • Calibrating monitors and validating system performance

  • Troubleshooting deployment and post‑install issues onsite

  • Documenting configurations, deployments, and assets

  • Working directly with radiologists, PACS administrators, and clinical IT teams

  • Coordinating with vendors and internal teams on hardware and licensing

✅ What We’re Looking For

Top Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of Imaging & Deployment experience

  • Strong Windows desktop/laptop imaging skills (SCCM, MDT, or similar tools)

  • Hands‑on diagnostic workstation configuration experience

  • Healthcare IT experience supporting clinical end users

  • Familiarity with PACS systems (nice to have)

  • Strong hardware, desktop, and troubleshooting skills

Soft Skills Matter

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in hospital and clinical environments

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to succeed on a high‑priority, high‑visibility initiative

    Project Overview

This project supports a national healthcare organization rolling out modern diagnostic imaging technology across multiple hospital locations. The goal is to improve performance, minimize downtime, and enhance radiologist efficiency while directly supporting patient care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mason City, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
