Aerotek CNC Maintenance Technician in Mason City, Iowa
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and CNC lathes to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues related to CNC equipment.
Safely work with and around 480V electrical systems while strictly following all safety standards and company procedures.
Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures prior to all maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair activities.
Diagnose faults in CNC controls, drives, motors, encoders, sensors, and associated components.
Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, air lines, regulators, and compressors as they relate to CNC equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Perform alignment, calibration, and setup adjustments to ensure machine accuracy, repeatability, and overall performance.
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and document work performed according to internal procedures.
Essential Skills
2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience on CNC machines.
Hands-on experience performing maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and CNC lathes.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience working with 480V electrical systems in an industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with blueprint reading for mechanical components and assemblies.
Comfort working in a production setting with varying noise levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with another maintenance technician and cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures and company policies.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
