MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa has an excellent opportunity for a Cardiac Internist to join the Cardiology department. The Cardiac Internist provides support on the clinic side to assist with access or follow-up appointments.
Opportunity Highlights
Join the busy practice of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 NPs
Practice includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services
Schedule includes 3 weeks in the Heart Center clinic/month and 1 week on the hospital CV Telemetry floor with Cardiology
MercyOne Heart Center offers a full range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, & EP working together with cardiac surgery & vascular surgery services.
Train alongside our Cardiology fellowship program
Cardiology Fellowship includes 3 residents/year and an interventional Cardiology Fellowship, accepting 1 per year
Cardiology Internist may apply for Cardiology Fellowship
Opportunities for outreach at one of our 10 critical access hospitals in our 14-county network
Primary Service Area- 260,000 people
Located at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center- 342 bed regional referral teaching hospital
Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 staffed ED and hospitalist services, helicopter, and state-of-the-art cath labs

Base salary: $300,000/year
up to $15,000 moving allowance
Full benefits package, including paid malpractice & tail coverage

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
