Eaton Corporation Senior Technical Service Engineer - UPS in Mascot, Australia

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in UPS and critical power systems to provide hands on technical support to single phase, three phase UPS range and DC systems. This will include commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to Field Service Technicians, Project Management Team, and Customers.
This is a great opportunity for a Field Service Technician who wants to step up in their career and move towards a training and leadership role. The role will require to travel to sites (30%) and also travel to factory or other Eaton sites for training and testing.
Key Duties:
Deliver the product technical trainings and participate in testing such as Factory Acceptance / Witness Testing (FAT/FWT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for critical power projects.
Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction across ANZ.
Respond to customer and field service requests for technical support on DC and UPS systems including other Power Quality products
Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and configuration issues, both remotely and on-site.
Technical Support commissioning, maintenance and testing of UPS systems at Eaton and customer sites, including integration with batteries and monitoring systems.
Attend the site commissioning, testing, and repair as required as level 1 and 2 support resource. Providing technical direction and complete the MOP templates required to perform these activities.
Attend and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT) for UPS and DC equipment, following approved test scripts and procedures
Lead the creation of Testing templates required for UPS and DC systems
Deliver technical training to customers, field service engineers, and contractors on UPS & DC Systems: operation, maintenance, repair, and safety.
Ensure all work complies with relevant Acts, standards, and customer site requirements.
Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and ongoing EHS training.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting 3-phase UPS systems and/or DC systems
Current unrestricted Driver License
Electrical License is preferred or a plus
Experience with factory testing, commissioning, and technical training delivery.
Willingness to travel for site support and factory testing (typically 10–30%)
Adaptability & flexibility on changing priorities and customer needs
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
