We are looking for a hands-on manager to own the go‑to‑market strategy, positioning, and commercial success of our Power Distribution Systems and Services portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product management, translating complex technical capability into customer‑relevant value propositions.
Products range covers indoor and outdoor power infrastructure systems, such medium voltage primary and secondary switchgear, oil and dry transformers, reclosers, load break switches, surge arresters, voltage regulators, prefabricated solutions and associated product support in utilities, mining, data centers, infrastructure, industrial and government segments.
Key Duties
Own product positioning and value proposition for Power Distribution product range
Develop go‑to‑market strategies aligned to utilities, renewables, infrastructure, mining, and data centre segments.
Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, pricing strategy, and regulatory impacts (e.g. utility standards, decarbonization, safety).
Demand generation and thought leadership (industry events, white papers, sales enablement).
Translate technical product features into clear customer benefits and sales tools.
Act as the technical‑commercial interface between R&D / engineering and sales.
Support business cases for new product introductions or portfolio evolution.
Develop tools and materials that support sales success, including presentations, playbooks, competitive comparisons, case studies, and objection handling guides.
Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, events, and channel marketing.
Partner with central Marketing (Brand, Digital, Events) to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Partner closely with local, regional and global Product Managers to understand product strategy, roadmap, features, and differentiators.
Report on product marketing results, including share of voice, campaign impact, and pipeline contribution.
Use data insights to refine messaging, targeting, and demand generation strategies.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in product management across power distribution, medium voltage, transformers, indoor and outdoor switchgear
Proven experience in product marketing or technical marketing within industrial, electrical, engineering, or B2B environments.
Ideal experience in electrical distribution, power systems, automation, or similar markets.
Demonstrating knowledge in pricing, market positioning, packaging, and understanding of the product’s market ability to deliver business results.
Knowledge of Australian standards, regulatory environments, or compliance requirements.
Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering OR a related degree
Excellent communication skills.
