Baseline Program Requirements:
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our backend development team for our NavOps software that facilitates the usage of cloud servers for high-performance computing applications. This product interfaces with a broad range of cloud providers and workload managers. We primarily develop in Go and work on several microservices and APIs that form a part of the broader NavOps software. You will gain hands on software development experience in a professional setting and have exposure to microservices architectural design, REST API design, and usage of cloud providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance backend features by designing and implementing new code
Create and maintain automated tests while diagnosing and resolving software issues
Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems to deliver effective and scalable solutions
Share progress, demo features, and collaborate closely with team members throughout the development cycle
Requirements :
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Comfortable and effective working in a fully remote environment (preferably on central time zone, US)
Proficient using Linux in a development or academic setting
Experience with at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or C++ Familiarity with REST APIs, Docker, and SQL databases is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to break down and solve complex problems
Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
