Actalent Sr. QA Technician in Maryland Heights, Missouri

Job Title: Sr. QA TechnicianJob Description

The Sr. QA Technician will perform quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The role includes document review, batch release, quality assurance on the floor, and timely release of materials and batches. The technician must maintain compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and efficient reviews and dispositions of completed batch record documentation, ensuring adherence to Good Documentation Practices, cGMPs, and local procedures.

  • Perform Quality Assurance On The Floor tasks, including AQL inspections, manufacturing area clearances, and providing quality input and guidance to manufacturing personnel.

  • Disposition finished products, raw materials, components, and intermediates through comprehensive documentation review and electronic quality systems cross-reference.

  • Release incoming raw materials and components per local procedures, including labeling with appropriate status indicator labels.

  • Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance with safety and quality guidelines and SOPs.

  • Maintain department, premises, and equipment.

  • Carry out assigned training to perform tasks confidently and consistently.

  • Perform work in compliance with site safety and radiation protection guidelines.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely task completion, demonstrating flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Attend mandatory trainings as required by site regulatory requirements and management.

  • Assist with quality investigations to determine root cause and perform other duties as required by supervision.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in life science or a related field with completion of 4 college-level life science courses required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or a related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years of quality assurance, quality control, or production experience in a cGMP facility.

Work Environment

The work environment includes supporting all areas within Hot Products manufacturing, which involves training to work with and around radioactive materials and gowning for aseptic areas. The shift is from Saturday to Tuesday, 7 pm to 5:30 am. The role requires spending 50% of the time on the floor and 50% at a desk reviewing batch records.

This is a Contract position based out of Maryland Heights, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
