Project Accountant
Location: Contra Costa County, CA
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Overview:
Help drive project success as a key member of our accounting team. We value analytical perspective, technical skills, and strong communication. You’ll partner with project managers to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and project financials, all within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage project review and detailed financial reporting
Oversee and update billing terms in ERP software
Lead monthly financial reporting and billing cycles
Collaborate with project managers and coordinators across offices
Requirements
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in project accounting, cost accounting, or AP in a service-oriented industry (engineering, construction, CPA, law firm, etc.)
Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, V-lookups, pivots, if functions; ability to analyze and present data)
Strong analytical and time management abilities
Experience with ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite); experience with implementation/integration a plus
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
Compensation:
- $80,000–$100,000 annual or $40–$45/hour for temporary assignments, depending on qualifications
