Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in the Marshville, North Carolina area to find an eager and experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join their growing team!
The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and coordinating maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure continuous production operations. This role performs industrial maintenance with a strong emphasis on welding, preventative maintenance, and mechanical systems such as belts, chains, sprockets, and vibrating conveyors.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
Coordinate with supervisor to order or obtain necessary parts and materials
Maintain continuous equipment operation to support production goals
Perform industrial maintenance duties with emphasis on belts, chains, sprockets, and vibrating conveyor systems
Inspect equipment daily and monitor for worn or questionable moving parts; perform preventative maintenance as needed
Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and welding permit requirements
Work safely in accordance with company safety rules and regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work overtime as needed to maintain equipment for normal shift operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent attendance and reliability
Strong physical coordination and mechanical aptitude
3-5 years of maintenance experience, including welding and specialized maintenance training
Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and electrical controls
Thorough understanding of welding procedures and safety practices
Pay rate is based on experience.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
