NorthEast Sportsfield-Rec designs and builds high-quality athletic fields, running tracks, playgrounds, and park spaces across New England. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Playground Construction Foreman / Installer to lead crews in the field and take pride in delivering safe, well-built public spaces for schools, towns, and communities.
This is a full-time, year-round role with strong earning potential, steady work (including winter snow operations), and real opportunities for growth for the right person.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll take the lead on-site—guiding your crew, keeping projects on track, and making sure every installation meets safety and quality standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
Leading and organizing daily and weekly work plans for your crew
Installing commercial playground equipment and related site features based on manufacturer specs and project drawings
Operating equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and other machinery as needed
Ensuring all work meets safety standards, specifications, and quality expectations
Providing hands-on guidance and support to your crew in the field
Keeping track of crew hours and completing daily job reports
Coordinating with general contractors, superintendents, and project managers on site logistics, deliveries, and scheduling
Running weekly safety meetings and maintaining a strong safety culture
Attending job meetings when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with solid field experience who’s ready to step into a leadership role and take ownership of their work.
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 5 years of playground installation or closely related construction experience
Experience with systems like LSI, GameTime, Kompan, or similar is a strong plus
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and grading plans
Comfortable using mobile job management tools
Strong communication skills when working with clients, contractors, and crews
Willingness to travel and stay overnight for 5+ days when needed
Nice to have (or willingness to obtain):
Hydraulic license (within 60 days of hire)
CDL Class A or B
DOT Medical Card
CSPI and/or NPCAI certification

This is a full-time, year-round position.
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
