Schwan's Company Seasonal Maintenance Technician in Marshall, Minnesota
Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6p.m. -- 6a.m.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our maintenance team for the summer season for the Specialty Foods Plant. This is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in a maintenance‑related program or individuals interested in temporary summer work. Seasonal team members support daily maintenance operations, gain valuable hands‑on experience, and contribute to a fast‑paced, positive work environment.
This seasonal role offers flexible scheduling, practical skill development, and the opportunity to earn income during your summer break.

What You Will Do:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.
What You Will Bring:
High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
