Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fleet safety, reliability, and compliance while minimizing downtime in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct chassis component repair and maintenance.

  • Handle refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air and hydraulic braking systems.

  • Perform engine repair and maintenance.

  • Address issues with suspension, drive train, and steering systems.

  • Maintain heating and air conditioning systems.

  • Execute line maintenance welding and fabrication.

  • Provide safe road service when necessary to ensure equipment is returned to operation efficiently.

  • Identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of diesel mechanic/repair experience

  • Clean driving record.

  • Experience with heavy-duty class 7-8 trucks or 1-5 light duty trucks.

  • Proficiency in engine repair or air brake repair.

  • ASE or additional certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
