Position Title: General Production Operator- Day Shift

Compensation Range: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour (based on experience)

Location: Marshall, IL, USA

The Opportunity:

AGI (Yargus) located in Marshall, IL currently has straight day shift openings Monday through Friday for General Production Operators. For inquiries or additional information, please contact Human Resources directly at 217-293-1116.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use air powered tools and hand tools to complete assembly to specifications on blueprint or work order.

  • Fit together parts and pieces of unit and prepare units for shipment.

  • Carefully paint parts to specification

  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

  • Setting up machines.

  • Controlling and adjusting machine settings.

  • Inspect parts

  • Test operations of machines periodically

  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift.

  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.

  • Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding, and all bench operations and inspect.

  • Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

  • Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up

  • Receives, stores, and issues parts and expendable items used in the production and maintenance shops

  • Takes inventory of parts and equipment and maintains inventory records

  • Pack and ship parts and materials as required

  • Update and maintain inventory tracking program

  • Handle warranty part returns

  • Operate overhead hoist, jib hoist, crane and forklift

  • Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, specifications and other instructions

  • Complete all required shop paperwork accurately and neatly.

  • Follow instructions and document operations as required.

  • Confers with Engineering, Supervisory and Manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

  • Responsible for following the company’s safety policies, procedures and compliance rules.

  • Required to work in a team atmosphere.

  • Evening and weekend hours may be required.

  • Regular attendance is required.

  • All other duties as assigned

  • Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
