Aerotek Refractory Technician in Mars, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Refractory Technician / Sandblaster – Jackhammer Operator

Daylight shift!

Pay ranges from $18+ depending on experience

Job Description

This role combines hands-on refractory support with the operation and basic maintenance of industrial equipment, including pneumatic jackhammers, diesel-powered air compressors, sandblasters, and forklifts, within an industrial facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a pneumatic jackhammer safely and efficiently to support refractory and related industrial tasks.

  • Operate a diesel-powered air compressor and ensure it runs safely and reliably during daily operations.

  • Operate a sandblasting unit to clean, prepare, or treat surfaces according to job specifications and safety standards.

  • Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance on jackhammers, air compressors, sandblasters, and related tools to ensure they remain in safe working condition.

  • Operate a forklift to move materials, tools, and equipment around the industrial facility in a safe and controlled manner.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating a pneumatic jackhammer in an industrial or similar environment.

  • Proven experience operating a diesel-powered air compressor.

  • Proven experience operating a sandblaster for industrial surface preparation or cleaning.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mars, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
