Greenbrier Engineering Liaison in Marmaduke, Arkansas

Summary

The Engineering Liaison coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems encountered in assigned areas of the manufacturing facility. Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to maintain current knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities. Confers with quality control, material, manufacturing, and other department personnel to provide technical support.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during manufacturing operations.

  • Investigates reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems to determine nature and scope of problem.

  • Examines, measures, inspects, or tests defective part for conformance to engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications, using precision measuring and testing instruments, devices, and equipment.

  • Consults with project engineers to obtain specialized information.

  • Evaluates findings to formulate corrective action plans and coordinates implementation of plans.

  • Maintains records or oversees recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented.

Qualifications

The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering role

  • Knowledge of DOT transportation regulations specifically Code of Federal Regulations 49CFR and AAR manuals is preferred

  • Experience with quality, engineering, and manufacturing best practices

  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to positively influence team members.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

  • Self-motivated

  • Strong work ethic
