Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. The H2A worker drives a tractor to disc and till up the soil. They will also assist in irrigating the crops by laying out poly pipe, poking holes, and digging rice spills. The job consists of driving a tractor with a grain cart to harvest the grain. They will fill up the planters with seed. Also, fill the irrigation power units with fuel as well as the tractors. The H2A job consists mainly in assisting in those areas. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers.
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver\'s license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires\ criminal background check post-hire at employers\' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60\ pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent\ stooping is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job\ and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict\ biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
