Qnity R&D Scale-Up Scientist/Engineer in Marlborough, Massachusetts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and scale synthetic processes for new raw materials used in advanced lithographic systems, collaborating internally with R&D, scale-up, and analytical teams, and externally with global suppliers.

  • Transition laboratory processes to medium-scale operations in internal scale-up team, and support technology transfer to external raw material suppliers for high‑volume manufacturing.

  • Validate supplier manufacturing processes and analytical methods to ensure quality, consistency, and performance of incoming raw materials.

  • Implement and understand analytical characterization to support quality control, cost improvements, and product capability.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, drive improvements, and perform root-cause analyses.

  • Design and evaluate shelf-life studies.

  • Develop a working knowledge of lithographic processes and their material requirements.

  • Represent Qnity Electronics in discussions with suppliers and customers regarding raw material performance and quality.

  • Communicate technical progress and findings through clear written reports and presentations to technical and business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; or B.S. with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong background in organic and/or polymer chemistry with demonstrated experience in synthesis, materials development, and analytical characterization.

  • Effective team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to lead or contribute in cross‑functional environments.

  • Experience with a broad range of analytical techniques and data interpretation, including NMR, GPC, GC, HP/UPLC, MS, TGA, DSC, FT-IR, and Titration.

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects with multiple priorities and timelines.

  • High level of self‑motivation and results orientation.

  • Experience in process chemistry or working with external raw material suppliers is a plus.

The Pay range for this role is $67,200.00 - $105,600.00 Annual
