This position is for a Site Electrician to work in the Qnity, Marlborough Maintenance group providing value through maintenance support throughout the site.
Candidate will support the Automation and Process Control systems and provide first contact support to operations, maintenance, and automation engineers. Candidate will participate in regular and scheduled maintenance activities with vendor/contractor support and other maintenance functions. Candidate will implement and support control system best practices under the direction of the Site Electrician/Process Automation Engineer and/or other A&PC guidance.
Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Major Duties
Successful candidate will be responsible for.
As an Electrician/Instrument technician you will install and maintain, test, calibrate and repair all electrical distribution systems and control instruments, whether electrical, pneumatic, or other.
Liaise with other departments, contractors, utilities, city & state authorities having jurisdiction for coordination of maintenance activities.
Identify areas of improvement including design changes and preventive maintenance improvements on controls and electrical infrastructure
Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively.
Perform housekeeping in the work area to maintain site safety standards.
Perform safety hazard assessments before initiating work to ensure the elimination of hazards.
Follow safe work permit and lock-out tag-out procedure on equipment to ensure it is inoperable and safe to work on.
Participate in maintenance reliability programs and processes.
Calibrate, install, and maintain electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatic process control, and related systems.
Contributes to the design, implementation, and programming of electrical & control systems for equipment Upgrades and new installations.
Perform condition monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Control Systems DeltaV and GE Fanuc/ Allen-Bradley PLC, VFD, and communication systems.
Hands-on experience in the Delta V system and PLC’s
Perform software / hardware maintenance of all relevant systems.
Responsible for Password integrity of all Control systems. Assign system access levels.
Technician must have a general knowledge of the process area to which they are assigned, its procedures, and hazards.
Utilize computer and administrative skills for feedback to various maintenance systems utilizing current CMMS, or as directed by management.
Assist other A&PC teammates as needed to complete tasks.
Record history, review/ upgrade maintenance strategies for assets
Be able to troubleshoot issues that affect manufacturing.
Ensure sufficient stock of spare parts for electrical & Control Systems
Interact with production operators to understand issues and concerns and address appropriately.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with people (Technicians, Engineers, Management) at all levels of the organization.
Minimum requirements:
A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
Minimum 4 or more years of industrial maintenance experience in electrical and instrument maintenance
Control Equipment/Licensed electrician from the State of Massachusetts
Use of PPE – personal protective equipment, adherence of Qnity safety standards and processes
General computer skills - familiar with Microsoft software tools.
Duties include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, grasping tools and equipment, reaching with hands and arms, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and balancing.
Work Hours:
Must be able to work all scheduled times of the week.
Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
On call & scheduled outage responsibilities. Be available for calls on off hours if problems arise.
The position offers overtime hours contingent on business demand.

The Pay range for this role is $29.79 - $46.81 Hourly
