Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating a press brake to form sheet-metal parts for production. This role requires the ability to create new parts and manage the forming department with innovative thinking.
Responsibilities
Set tools and dies in position on the press brake according to work order instructions.
Retrieve engineering drawings from the ERP system for reference.
Retrieve raw materials from stock as required by the job.
Record labor hours spent and materials used by job in the ERP system.
Inspect first article parts using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
Record inspection results on the work order traveler or in the ERP system.
Adjust bend parameters at the machine to ensure all part dimensions are within tolerance.
Perform in-process dimension checks to ensure parts are within tolerance.
Complete production orders as per the production schedule.
Document setup procedures for new parts.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in press brake operation and sheet metal fabrication.
Strong mechanical skills and ability to operate manufacturing machines and tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Functional use of calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate tolerance ranges.
Detail-oriented in following procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years experience in setting up and operating press brakes in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment
Currently operating in a small facility with 10-12 people in Marlboro, transitioning to a new location in Saugerties. This is a single-shift operation running from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment fosters collaboration and innovation, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Full benefits: medical, dental, 401K, etc.

This is a fully onsite position in Marlboro,NY.
