Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Marlboro, Massachusetts. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts and ensuring timely resolution of billing and payment issues. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic company within the waste management industry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Communicate with clients professionally to resolve payment disputes and billing inquiries.
• Process and monitor billing transactions to maintain accurate records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze account data effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve collection processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Identify trends in payment delays and propose actionable solutions.
• Prepare reports detailing collection activities and account statuses.
• Stay informed about company policies and industry regulations related to collections. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably within a similar industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle disputes professionally.
• Solid understanding of billing and payment processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
