Astellas Pharma Canada (APCA) is looking to fill vacant position – Web Development Platform Engineer (.NET/AEM)
Description
As an Adobe AEM Fullstack Platform Engineer in Adobe Platforms chapter, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital initiatives within our agile organization by designing and delivering innovative, enterprise-grade external facing websites/ portals based on Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics technologies. This role exists to develop and maintain websites built on Adobe AEM CMS enabling seamless content delivery and engagement of HCPs and Patients to Astellas owned web properties collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders both internal and external driving business value through technical expertise and stakeholder engagement aligned to enterprise capabilities. Our agile operating model—comprising Digital Capability for skill growth and Digital Execution for mission-aligned collaboration—uniquely positions you to balance cutting-edge Adobe AEM solution delivery with the development of specialized expertise, while expertise in other enterprise platforms is welcomed as an advantageous complement.
In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain web applications based on a Global design framework, leveraging Templates and Components with a deep understanding of AEM, Analytics, Target to elevate customer experience. You will work directly with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Adobe AEM solutions, multitask across projects and stay ahead of technological advancements, making this position critical for transformative digital impact for the enterprise.

Essential Job Duties
Hands on end-to-end development experience in design, develop, test, and implement OOB components, custom components, templates, workflows, multi-site management including translation framework, and integrations on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to support various digital initiatives.
Translate user stories into technical designs which includes enterprise-level architecture and implementing strategies.
Experience in software design, development, and implementation using standard CMS platforms.
Collaborate with Business Analyst, Platform Engineers, Scrum lead, Value Team captain to execute implementations and provide technical expertise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and usability.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor web site performance using Lighthouse or similar tools.
Security & Compliance: Ensure web solutions are secure and compliant with enterprise standards, including web governance and necessary documentation.
Data Reporting: Work with reporting team (generating insights from Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) to derive meaningful insights.
Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.
Reporting: Regularly report on system use to your Chapter Lead, VT captain, and team members.
Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
Advanced problem-solving capabilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues in AEM platform.
Exceptional team skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams, business users, vendors, and external agencies.
Adaptable to evolving project scopes and technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning in Adobe domain.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration.
Overall 8+ Years of experience in Information Technology
5+ years of hands-on development experience on AEM (full stack) is strongly preferred.
Strong Web front-end development experience including HTML/ CSS/JavaScript skills.
Experience with Sling MVC frameworks, Spring and Struts Framework, OSGI.
Strong experience of Java in the context of CQ5 and overall best CQ5 practices.
Experience with content publishing/deployment and end-to-end content lifecycle.
Experience with design/implementing web services collaborating with Integration engineers to test end to integrations from web applications.
Understanding of AEM integration with Adobe Analytics and Launch configurations.
Relevant experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business issues and develop appropriate technical solutions.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks. Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and software development tools is beneficial.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and version control in Adobe platform deployments.
Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting requirements, specifications, and project details to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and project priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certification in Adobe Experience Manager and other Frontend technologies is a plus
Life Sciences / Pharma industry experience

This position is remote and is based in Canada.

Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 CAD annually per year (final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to proficiency levels and organizational equity considerations)
