About Mount Rogers ASAP Mount Rogers Alcohol Safety Action Program (ASAP) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedPart-Time Case Managerto supervise and support individuals enrolled in court-ordered DUI and substance-related intervention programs. This position plays a critical role in promoting accountability, behavioral change, and public safety.

The Case Manager provides structured case management, compliance monitoring, and court liaison services for individuals ordered into ASAP programs. This role works closely with courts, probation officers, treatment providers, and community partners to ensure compliance with legal and program requirements.

Position Purpose

The goal of this position is to:

  • Improve participant compliance with court-ordered ASAP requirements
  • Reduce repeat DUI/DWI and substance-related offenses
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to courts and justice partners
  • Support participant engagement in treatment, education, and recovery services
  • Strengthen public safety through accountability and intervention

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of court-ordered ASAP participants
  • Conduct intake assessments and interviews
  • Assign appropriate education, treatment, and intervention services
  • Administer alcohol and drug screenings
  • Develop and manage individualized case plans in accordance with court orders
  • Monitor compliance with DUI education, treatment, ignition interlock, and testing requirements
  • Maintain regular contact with participants to track progress and provide support
  • Enforce program policies and address non-compliance appropriately
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and detailed case files
  • Prepare court reports and legal documentation; testify in court as required
  • Coordinate with courts, probation officers, attorneys, and treatment providers
  • Identify barriers to compliance and coordinate supportive services and referrals
  • Answer phones and provide general office support as needed
  • Evaluate participant progress toward successful program completion
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to legal and program standards
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of court operations, procedures, and laws related to DUI/DWI and substance use
  • Understanding of case management principles and practices
  • Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse and court-involved populations
  • Proficiency in computer systems, data entry, and document preparation
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in case management, probation, corrections, or court services
  • Background in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health
  • Experience working with DUI/DWI or court-ordered populations
  • Knowledge of Virginia ASAP programs, DUI laws, and court processes
  • Experience in interviewing, conflict resolution, and de-escalation
  • Experience in law enforcement, counseling, or driver safety programs

Work Environment

  • Office-based with frequent interaction with participants
  • Regular coordination with courts, probation, and community partners
  • Travel required within the Mount Rogers ASAP service region (25%)
  • Occasional attendance at court proceedings or meetings
  • High level of confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism required
  • Work is conducted primarily in person

Compensation

  • Pay: $18.00 per hour
  • Part-time position (hours may vary based on program needs)
  • No benefits offered for this position

Additional Requirements

  • Valid drivers license required
  • Must be able to travel between courts, offices, and program locations
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • DMV record check required
  • Drug screening required
