Mechanic / Motor Technician
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanic / Motor Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, disassembling equipment, and rebuilding it the right way. This role is ideal for individuals with automotive, industrial, agricultural, or maintenance experience who take pride in problem-solving and quality workmanship.
Job Responsibilities
Disassemble, repair, and rebuild large industrial motors
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine root causes
Perform mechanical repairs and basic electrical wiring
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Test motors to ensure proper operation prior to shipment
Follow quality, safety, and performance standards throughout the repair process
Required Qualifications
At least one year of hands-on mechanic experience (automotive, industrial, agricultural, maintenance, or similar)
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
Comfort working with both mechanical systems and basic electrical components
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with motors or pneumatics
Industrial or maintenance repair experience
Automotive or diesel mechanic experience
Work Environment
Family-run, hands-on repair facility
Stable first-shift schedule
Casual, flexible environment with a supportive manager
Required attire includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a T-shirt

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
