Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will operate a sit-down forklift and perform a variety of tasks related to the shipping and receiving of materials and supplies. You will be responsible for picking orders and staging products for outgoing freight, including loading freight as needed. Your role involves reading work orders to locate inventory, picking the required quantity, placing it on pallets, and moving it to the designated area. You may also be required to wrap, weigh, and pack products. You will work as part of a team, taking directions when required, but also demonstrating the ability to work independently. Other tasks or projects may be assigned as needed, and you must maintain and care for company-provided equipment, tools, and vehicles. Additionally, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift for material handling tasks.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks for a variety of materials and supplies.
Pick orders and stage products for outgoing freight.
Read work orders to locate inventory and ensure accurate picking.
Wrap, weigh, and pack products as needed.
Collaborate with team members while also working independently.
Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Load and unload trucks efficiently.

1+ year of forklift experience
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
OSHA Forklift Certification

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and organized, although not temperature-controlled, it remains cool enough during the summer. You will have the opportunity to work across three shifts: 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:30pm-Midnight), and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
