Description

Growing Entertainment Co. seeking to add to growing team.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations for a growing entertainment company. This role will manage close processes, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering cross-functionally across the business. This role has option of working from home 1 day a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Oversee accounts payable, vendor relationships, and cash application

  • Ensure revenue recognition compliance under U.S. GAAP

  • Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation

  • Research accounting treatment for complex transactions

  • Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors

  • Partner with FP& A, production, legal, and business teams

  • Contribute to system enhancements and ad hoc projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 4–7+ years of accounting experience

  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge

  • Audit support experience

  • Advanced Excel; ERP experience required

  • Entertainment/media experience preferred

  • CPA strongly preferred.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting and/or auditing.

• Background in the entertainment industry, specifically in film or television, is preferred.

• Experience in production accounting is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles is highly valued.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions; familiarity with High level ERP system

• Demonstrated expertise in managing month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
