Description:
A strategy and technical manager in the Semiconductor Technologies is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between deep engineering expertise and market-facing business strategies. This person develops and executes marketing plans, creates technical content, and collaborates with the line of business to understand customer needs and position products for market success.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position are a blend of technical acumen, strategic planning, and marketing execution
Technology & Market Analysis: Monitor Logic/DRAM/NAND technologies, industry shifts, and customer pain points to inform forward-looking business strategies and investment priorities. This includes market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM models), segmentation, and competitive landscape analysis.
Product Definition & Positioning: Partner closely with R&D and marketing teams to translate technical features into compelling value propositions and define product roadmaps that reflect market needs.
Content Creation & Thought Leadership: Create high-impact, technical content such as technical presentations and application notes.
Strategic Partnerships: Lead or contribute to co-marketing programs, key partnerships, and M&A evaluations to expand market reach and business capabilities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, sales, and other stakeholders to align product development with market needs and ensure revenue targets are met.
Required Qualifications
Employers typically seek candidates with a strong blend of technical and business skills:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering preferred, with an MBA or related advanced degree often desired.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of combined experience in R&D or/and marketing within the semiconductor industry. Applications without this background will not be considered.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated leadership and expertise in semiconductor market and technology analysis with comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, FEOL/ BEOL processes, and knowledge of advanced packaging technologies.
Marketing and Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive messaging for various audiences is critical.
Strategic Thinking: The capacity to develop and implement long-term marketing plans.
Soft Skills: Excellent presentation skills are essential for presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
