Job Duties:
Perform duties on a farm consistent with an agricultural equipment operator:
Primary job duties: Drive/Operate agricultural equipment equipped with GPS autosteer systems and skid-steer loaders for liquid manure transport, management and application; attach implements; perform removal, pumping, and treatment of manure. Clear and maintain farm irrigation ditches. Clean and maintain yards, grounds, and facilities. Record information about liquid manure management. Lubricate and maintain equipment and pumps. May need to change oil and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Secondary job duties include the occasional disassembly and reassembly of equipment and pumps for cleaning and repair, welding and fabricating replacement parts, and sanding/grinding.

Minimum Education Required
None. No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of 1 month of experience is in the job duties described required.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
Extensive pushing and pulling is required.
Extensive walking or sitting is required.
Frequent stooping or bending over is required.
Repetitive movements are required.
Employer-paid drug test and background checks are done post-hire due to the liability of operating expensive equipment and children present on the farm. Any employee who declines to take or fails this drug test will be terminated and paid for all hours worked, if any. All background checks are conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hire.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
