The SCM Facilities & Construction Intern will support the contracting and procurement activities for engineering and construction services across Chevron Venezuela’s upstream and midstream projects. The intern will gain hands‑on exposure to procurement analytics, contract lifecycle support, supplier evaluations, and project‑driven sourcing activities related to facilities, infrastructure, and engineering services.
This role is designed for a science or engineering student with strong analytical capabilities and interest in supply chain, project execution, and commercial management.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assist in spend analysis, cost breakdowns, and commercial evaluations using Excel‑based models
Collaborate with engineering, project, and operations stakeholders to support sourcing strategies
Prepare and maintain procurement trackers, dashboards, and reports
Assist with contract documentation , amendments tracking, and compliance reviews
Help standardize data and improve visibility of procurement KPIs and savings initiatives
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Facilities & Construction category
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Preferred: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Petroleum, or related Engineering disciplines)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail and learning mindset
