Chevron Venezuela is accepting online applications for the position Supervisor, Senior Construction in Maracaibo.

Plans and executes the construction and major modifications of Chevron's facilities. Establishes contruction procedures, methods, costs, and schedules. Works closely with other functions to ensure projects are completed safely, timely, cost effectively, and are of desired quality.

Leads projects of medium scope and complexity. Work often impacts across work groups or at the BU level. Detailed knowledge of the work function and general knowledge of related work functions.

Construction Execution & Leadership

Lead and supervise all construction activities in the field, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural works, ensuring compliance with IFC drawings and specifications.

Provide day‑to‑day field oversight to contractors and subcontractors, verifying work quality, productivity, and adherence to approved execution plans.

Coordinate construction activities with engineering, QA/QC, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and readiness for start‑up.

HSE & Operational Excellence

Assume primary accountability for HES and OE performance during construction execution, promoting Incident Free Operations through visible leadership and strict compliance with OE tenets.

Verify compliance with safety plans, permits to work, environmental controls, and regulatory requirements at site.

Planning, Schedule & Cost Control

Support the development and execution of construction execution plans, including sequencing, resource loading, and work methods.

Monitor construction progress, identify deviations, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget commitments.

Participate in progress meetings, kick‑off meetings, and interface reviews with contractors and project stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.

Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to address non‑conformances, field changes, and technical issues during execution.

Verify completion documentation, A‑check sheets, and construction dossiers prior to handover.

Stakeholder & JV Coordination

Maintain effective working relationships with Joint Venture partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies, supporting the Company’s “Partner of Choice” positioning.

Ensure clear communication with internal project customers regarding construction status, risks, and operability considerations.
