Description We are looking for a skilled Project Accountant to oversee financial operations and reporting for construction projects. This role requires expertise in managing project budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial insights. Based in Maple Grove, Minnesota, you will play a key role in supporting project teams and ensuring financial accountability.
Responsibilities:
• Manage project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records for construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor project expenses and identify discrepancies to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize Deltek Vision or similar software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoicing for project-related expenses.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data and project records.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance project accounting practices. Requirements • Proven experience in project accounting, with a focus on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Deltek Vision or similar accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
