PDS Tech Commercial is teaming up with a top-tier electronics innovator to bring on a skilled Production Cell Leader .
Location: Maple Grove, MN | Payrate: $24/hr | Schedule: 1st Shift (6AM–2:30PM, Mon–Fri)
Lead the Future of Electronics Manufacturing
We’re looking for a hands‑on leader to oversee daily operations of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line. In this role, you’ll guide a team responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing electronic products while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and output.
You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems on the fly, and continuously improve processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching teams, driving performance, and keeping production running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Lead and support the SMT production team, ensuring efficient workflow and balanced staffing across the line.
Serve as the primary problem solver for technical, production, and process issues as they arise.
Oversee the quality and quantity of daily output, ensuring team goals and deadlines are consistently met.
Perform hands-on tasks when needed, including manual and automated assembly, hand soldering, operation of test equipment, inspection, and repair.
Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and support employee development.
Track production metrics and generate reports on cell/line performance.
Demonstrate best practices and train new team members.
Ensure all activities follow established safety guidelines and quality standards.
What You Bring
Required industry certifications as defined by site operations.
Strong knowledge of SMT assembly, board assembly processes, and production flow.
Understanding of soldering standards, product quality requirements, and SMT processing systems.
Ability to set up, run, and maintain SMT and hand‑assembly equipment.
Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve process or component issues.
Clear, effective communication skills with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and deliver high‑quality results under tight timelines.
Proficiency with computer applications such as Excel, Word, documentation systems, and manufacturing software.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
May require extended periods of standing or sitting, repetitive motions, and precise hand/eye coordination.
Occasional lifting or handling of heavier materials or equipment.
Requires strong visual attention to detail when reviewing documentation and assemblies.
All work is performed in alignment with established Health & Safety guidelines.
Experience & Education
4–5 years of relevant manufacturing or SMT experience.
High school diploma required ; additional technical courses or certifications preferred.

Pay Details: $24.00 per hour
