Process Technician - Metrology & Measurement Systems Location: Maple Grove, MN (Onsite) Pay Rate: Up to $26.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Type: Contract (6 months to start) Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to support product development and manufacturing process analysis within a medical device environment. This role works under limited supervision to assist Process Development (PD) Engineers and Scientists with measurement method development, inspection programming, data analysis, and documentation. This position is ideal for a technician with hands-on metrology experience, especially programming Keyence and vision-based measurement systems, who enjoys working cross-functionally in a regulated manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Metrology & Measurement Programming Develop and maintain dimensional measurement methods for manufactured medical device components Program and optimize inspection routines using: Keyence IM and Keyence LM Visicon vision systems Support and program additional measurement systems as needed, such as: SmartScope CMMs (Zeiss, Hexagon) CT scanners O-Inspect Keyence VK, VR, VH, VL, XGX Create and refine measurement recipes, including: Use of datums Pattern-matching tools Automated vs. operator-assisted inspection strategies Print Interpretation & Inspection Interpret component and tooling prints Understand and apply inspection requirements Support GD&T inspection (experience preferred) Data Analysis & Validation Analyze measurement data to determine pass/fail disposition Organize and analyze data in Microsoft Excel (min/max/average, conditional formatting, pivot tables) Conduct GR&R studies Experience with Minitab is a plus Experimentation & Fixture Support Conduct experiments by varying process inputs and evaluating outputs Collaborate with CAD designers and engineers on fixture design for production or inspection SolidWorks experience is a plus Documentation & Collaboration Author and maintain: Work instructions Inspection and validation reports Tooling and recipe qualification documents Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation Work closely with engineers, technicians, and operators to support project goals Follow work direction with minimal supervision while contributing to team problem-solving Qualifications Associate degree (AA) in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience 1-3 years of related experience in manufacturing, metrology, or process development Hands-on experience programming: Keyence IM Keyence LM Visicon systems Experience conducting GR&R testing Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience preferred Why This Role Hands-on technical role supporting medical device development Exposure to advanced metrology and inspection technologies Day shift schedule with predictable hours Strong opportunity to build experience in process development and quality inspection Apply Now If you are a Process Technician or Metrology Technician with experience programming Keyence measurement systems and supporting manufacturing processes, apply today for this onsite opportunity in Maple Grove, MN.
