Responsibilities
Operate test benches and manage mechanical upkeep and calibration.
Conduct structural, integrity, end-of-life, and efficiency tests.
Collaborate with the test requestor and lab manager to determine appropriate testing methods.
Set up and conduct performance tests independently using established procedures.
Adapt procedures and tools to meet complex testing requirements with supervision.
Prepare accurate test data for analysis and interpretation.
Identify and communicate test equipment issues to technicians or supervisors.
Maintain lab equipment for accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with equipment calibration and perform basic test bench maintenance under supervision.
Keep lab manager informed about testing activity and challenges.
Perform operational lab duties as assigned and meet established deadlines.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Skills
Mechanical testing and mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in hydraulics and hydraulic assembly.
Test software literacy and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in engineering and automotive manufacturing.
Knowledge of valves and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience as a technician preferred.
Working knowledge of test equipment and standards.
Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office).
Demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude.
Understanding of cause and effect relationships in automated control systems.
Understanding of measurement and control systems and calibration practices.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take direction.
Effective communication skills for various audiences.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to recognize the importance of common goals and collaborate with others.
Work Environment
Work in the Liquid Multipass Lab on the 2nd shift, focusing on the durability and efficiency of filters for liquid applications. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 10:30 AM to 7 PM, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. Initial training will be on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3 PM, before moving to the 2nd shift. The dress code is engineering casual (collared shirt), with safety shoes (steel toe) and safety glasses required in labs.

This is a Contract position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
