Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Mantua, Ohio. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and contributing to the company's overall success. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong analytical abilities.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts.
• Generate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis to detect trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Assist with tax preparation and coordinate audits as required.
• Oversee cash flow management and accounts payable functions.
• Handle HR-related tasks, such as payroll processing and onboarding new employees.
• Contribute to the optimization of accounting procedures and workflows. Requirements • Proficiency in handling journal entries and general ledger activities.
• Solid understanding of sales tax regulations and compliance.
• Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards and tax preparation.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams.
• Previous experience in payroll processing and HR functions is a plus.
