Job Overview: We are hiring a Road Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing on site maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and diagnostics on a wide range of commercial vehicles, consisting mostly of heavy duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for a diesel mechanic who prefers working independently and handling real world breakdowns instead of being in a shop all day.
We are looking for someone dependable who can diagnose problems efficiently and get equipment back on the road quickly with minimal downtime for our clients.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime available as needed

Duties:
- Respond promptly to roadside service calls to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, trucks and trailers on site or in the field.
- Perform mechanical repairs such as brake repair, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments and engine diagnostics particularly focusing on diesel engines and OEM parts.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including tire service, air brake systems, alignment checks and electrical diagnostics to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about the work completed and recommended follow up actions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, electrical systems and diesel engines.
- Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for light and heavy duty trucks and trailers.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in diverse environments outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
