Aerotek Security Installation Technician in Mankato, Minnesota
Security Installation Technician – $23–$30/hr

Aerotek is hiring a Security Installation Technician to install and service low‑voltage security and life‑safety systems. This is a great opportunity for candidates with wiring, construction, or low‑voltage experience who want to grow into a long-term role.
What You’ll Work On
Install, configure, and service:
CCTV & IP camera systems
Access control
Intrusion alarms
Fire alarm systems (panels, detection devices, notification appliances)
Video management systems
Intercom and door-entry systems
Run, label, and terminate low‑voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, coax, fire alarm cable)
Program and troubleshoot alarm and security panels
Read blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics
Test system functionality to meet NFPA/local code requirements
Maintain installation logs, service reports, and documentation
Work with project managers, inspectors, GCs, and customers
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
Ideal Candidate
Experience with security, fire alarm, or low‑voltage installations (preferred)
Knowledge of NFPA standards + fire alarm systems (a plus, not required)
Strong wiring, electronics, and basic networking skills
Able to use hand tools, power tools, lifts, testers, and meters
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments
Valid driver’s license + clean MVR

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
