Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and diesel engines. This includes working on components such as suspension, clutches, transmissions, drivetrain, hydraulic systems, steering systems, fuel systems, electrical, HVAC, and air brake systems. The ideal candidate will properly diagnose and address driver complaints, identify root cause of component failures, and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Repair diesel trucks, trailers, and diesel engines.
Diagnose driver complaints and identify root causes of component failures.
Maintain a clean and professional work environment, including tools and equipment.
Perform welding as needed.
Complete assigned work duties efficiently.
Essential Skills
Diesel engine repair experience: minimum 1 year required.
Mechanical knowledge: minimum 2 years required.
Possession of tools necessary to perform job duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MN Inspection Certification preferred (willing to obtain).
Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Work Environment
This role requires working in a sanitation environment. The work schedule is stable, with no weekend work required unless making up a holiday week. The dress code is professional to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $39.00/hr.
