Position Summary Our Yarn Braider & Winder Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of all yarn twisters, winders and braiders. 3rd shift hours are Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am. Approximately 8 hours of overtime a week is expected after training is complete. Starting pay is \$19.46 per hour. 3rd shift pays an additional \$2/hr. shift premium. Responsibilities Job Description/Principal Accountabilities Operation and set-up of yarn braiding machines consists of transferring yarn from shipping spools to bobbins suitable for use in braiding machines. Operator must maintain the condition of the bobbins prior to winding. Operation and set-up of yarn braiding machines consists of the physical transfer of full bobbins to braider decks, removal of empty bobbins from braider deck and splicing operation required during transfer . Monitor bobbin footage, yarn condition and tensions. Change over of tooling and gears as necessary to ensure proper dimension. Visual attention must be given to the payoffs, adhesive application, braid pattern, inking and take-ups while braiding. Perform all required quality checks and record all pertinent information to ensure quality standards are met.
