What you'll do:

As an Associate in Transaction Banking Client Service at MUFG, you will immerse yourself in a role that demands both attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Your day-to-day activities will involve coordinating with multiple teams—both locally and internationally—to ensure that trade transactions are executed flawlessly. You will be responsible for validating instructions, maintaining accurate records in the bank’s systems, safeguarding important documents, and supporting process improvements that enhance customer satisfaction. Success in this position requires you to be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, diligent in following through on tasks, and considerate when collaborating with colleagues across departments. By leveraging your analytical abilities and commitment to excellence, you will help drive positive outcomes for clients while contributing to MUFG’s reputation as a dependable financial partner.

  • Identify opportunities to optimise trade balances by collaborating closely with various departments within the bank.

  • Organise, analyse, and generate management information data to support decision-making processes across transaction banking services.

  • Recommend process improvements to streamline internal procedures, operational systems, policies, and workflows for enhanced efficiency.

  • Increase product and operational knowledge through multiple learning channels such as e-learning modules and classroom training sessions.

  • Provide thorough follow-through, validation, verification, and hand-off of trade transactions to relevant operations units for execution and completion.

  • Coordinate with GCD Relationship Managers (RMs) and Transaction Banking RMs to ensure all documentary requirements are completed accurately and on time.

  • Work with related departments and booking units or branches to guarantee smooth execution of deal closings for customers.

  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Operations, Legal, Treasury, as well as offshore MUFG branches to facilitate seamless service delivery.

  • Validate, verify, and perform necessary checks for all trade instructions; ensure transactions are properly documented, encoded into the bank’s data systems, and processed according to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Take responsibility for the safekeeping and upkeep of all documents entrusted to the department while actively reducing pending documentation submissions by customers.

  • Demonstrated capacity to operate dependably even in ambiguous or unpredictable situations by relying on communal support networks within the organisation.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining pleasant interactions with colleagues and clients alike.
