Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Manheim, Pennsylvania
Manufacturer of controls for commercial HVAC and refrigeration units is hiring a 1st shift Maintenance Mechanic working 8am-5pm. You will be the sole maintenance mechanic there and have the freedom to run the maintenance duties as you see fit. This is a direct hire opportunity with the company.
Pay Range: $30-37/hr DOE
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, scheduling routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
Install, modify, and relocate machinery and equipment.
Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance..
Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Prepare reports documenting work performed, maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
Manage small to mid-sized projects such as safety policy implementation or waste/scrap measurement, recording, reporting, and disposal under the direction of the EH&S Specialist.
Actively participate in the facility's Safety Committee.
Plan repair work using the building's blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Essential Skills
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Mechanical aptitude and a natural inclination towards mechanical tasks.
Effective communication skills with team members and supervisors.
Organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects, and to work in various environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.
