Aerotek Electrical Test Technician in Manheim, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Electrical Test Technician

Essential Skills

  • 2–4 years of electrical work with industrial control panels or 3–5 years of related experience or transferable knowledge from similar industries.

  • Hands-on experience testing control panels by energizing and de-energizing equipment using 120V–480V power.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, including IEC-style schematics, technical drawings, and diagrams.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex wiring and assembly operations on panels, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.

  • Strong understanding and practical application of electrical safety practices, including the correct use of PPE.

  • Ability to inspect wiring installations and assemblies and identify quality or compliance issues.

  • Experience using common hand and fabrication tools such as crimpers, wire stripping tools, and label machines.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining productivity, quality, and safe work habits.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including providing coaching, mentoring, and acting as a lead or first-level supervisor.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program in an electrical or related field.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Fluency in English for communication, documentation, and safety-related instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical safety training such as NFPA 70E or similar is preferred.

  • Electrical or Electronic Technology certification is preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with UL 508A design concepts for industrial control panels.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering and quality control teams on bills of materials, drawings, and schematics.

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments where electrical panels and machinery are built or serviced.

  • Strong self-motivation and initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and improve processes.

  • Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace in a busy production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Manheim, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $60320.00/yr.

We offer a clean and temperature-controlled work environment as well as affordable health benefits (including dental and vision) paid holidays, PTO, bonus plans, a 401K program, and education assistance.

The standard Vacation time is 5 days after your first 90 days of employment with a prorated bank of sick and personal days. After your first full calendar year you’ll receive an additional 5 days totaling 10 days of vacation time and 40 hours of sick and personal time.

Core coverages:

Aetna (Medical) 2 options, HRA 7000 (similar to a standard PPO plan with copays) and the HRA/HSA plan (higher deductible, no copays so you pay for more upfront but there is no cost after the deductible is met)

United Concordia (Dental) One option (zero premium if electing individual coverage)

VSP (Vision) One option

Reliance (additional coverage) Life insurance (20k company paid), Short term disability (company paid) Long term disability (voluntary option, premium based on age)

Voya (401K) Eligible for auto enrollment after 90 days. Auto enrolled at 4% personal contribution with a 1% auto escalation applied each year up to 8%. Eligible for the company contribution of 4% each pay after 1 year of employment. 100% vested in company contributions after 1 year of employment.
