Job Description
The Quality Inspector ensures that products consistently meet defined standards for quality, reliability, and performance. You will perform inspections and testing of materials, parts, and finished products throughout the production process, document findings, and work closely with production teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. This is a full-time, day-shift role, typically Monday through Friday, around 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify they meet established quality standards and specifications.
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks using appropriate inspection tools and equipment.
Document inspection results accurately, including any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications.
Report quality issues promptly and collaborate with production and related teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Assist with root cause analysis of quality problems and support the development of quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain, verify, and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and ISO requirements during all inspection and documentation activities.
Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and product consistency.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and best practices.
Essential Skills
Experience or strong interest in working in a production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of quality control concepts, including non-conformities, defects, and corrective actions.
Ability to use or learn to use inspection tools and equipment, such as gauges and measuring devices, and follow calibration procedures.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to record inspection results clearly and accurately.
Capability to follow established procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements, including ISO-related standards.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with production teams and provide feedback on quality issues.
High school diploma required if the candidate does not have prior relevant experience.
For candidates with 3 or more years of relatable experience, a high school diploma is not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any prior production, general production, or general labor experience is preferred.
Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Exposure to CNC operations or working around CNC equipment is a plus.
Assembly or inspection experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and equipment.
Genuine interest in manufacturing and developing skills in quality inspection.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment that is climate controlled, though it can feel slightly warmer near molding machines. You work on-site during day-shift hours, Monday through Friday, around 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Proper personal protective equipment is required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes or boots. You will spend significant time on the production floor around machinery and production processes, following established safety protocols and procedures at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manheim, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
