Overview\ We are seeking a Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working in a fast-paced factory environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate will have prior factory or warehouse experience and possess mechanical aptitude to support assembly and production processes. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in manufacturing operations within a dynamic facility.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure, mark, and verify dimensions and reference points for proper assembly
- Use basic and precision measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers, squares, gauges, etc.)
- Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished products according to specifications
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment such as drills, grinders, band saws, drill presses, and other assembly-related machinery
- Perform mechanical fastening operations, including bolting, riveting, clamping, and torquing
- Assist with fit-up and alignment of parts before welding or final processing
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
- Perform material handling functions using forklifts, overhead hoists, carts, and other material handling equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with welders, fabricators, and other team members to keep production activities on schedule
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior experience in manufacturing, factory work, or warehouse environments preferred Mechanical knowledge related to assembly line operations and machinery maintenance Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial assembly environment preferred
- Ability to obtain a forklift certificate

- Knowledge of basic assembly methods, mechanical fastening techniques, and fit-up practices
- Skill in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment
- Knowledge of raw material sizes, lengths, thickness, etc.
- Basic math and design skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team efficiently
- Ability to work with your hands
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and written work instructions
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently on a project with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with co-workers and management
- Mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and reliable
