Job Description OVERVIEW/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
Mid-Level 3 Technical IT Staff that has at least 5 or more years of experience in reporting and analytics projects.
The position is technical, will require advanced coding and high level of coordination and supervision of less experienced members of the group .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs program design, development, benchmark and unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
Ensures that software development conventions and software development life cycle practices are followed, including industry-best practices.
Able to do design work for complex projects. May conduct reviews for design and implementation done by other peers.
Design and develop enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions.
Work with business users to establish reporting and analytics requirements.
Translate business requirements into ETL and report specifications.
Develop and implement ETL processes, reports and queries in support of business analytics.
Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards.
Provide technical and business knowledge support to the team.
Compile ad-hoc data and reports requests.
Performs advanced statistical analysis for projects and experiments.
Performs and directs QA/testing of dev activities done on the Reporting and Analytics system.
Performs coordination for tasks between other teams and team members
Must be able to review reports and draw conclusions.
REQUIREMENTS – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of date modeling, SQL and data warehousing
Experience in multipledatabse platforms including SQL Server, Oracle and BD2.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI Technology (SSRS, SSIS< SSAS, Power BI) and other reporting
tools (IBM Cognos)
Proficient building ETLs using SSIS and C#
Experience with parsing data from APIs, XMLs, JSON and other non-relational datasources
Skills and experience using Azure and AWS for BI applications are desirable
Must Have
In depth understanding of programming, modern software development process using TFS
In depth understanding of relational database concepts and programming
Proven ability to implement a solution from inception to production
Significant experience and expertise on Microsoft .NET Framework, SSRS, SSIS, and C#
Expertise on Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2008 and up), TSQL, SSIS, SSAS
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Azure and AWS technologies in the context of BI solutions
Should have
Experience with data warehousing, star schema, data analysis, service oriented architectures, web
Services
Experience with implementing complex scripting, SQL and C# to deliver business requirements
Nice to have
Experience in healthcare setting (provider/payer environment)
Experience with other Business Intelligence tools like Birst, Power BI and others
Experience with VS Team Server System (TFS)
Experience with MVC, WCF, Entity Framework in C#
Experience with unit testing tools/frameworks
Experience with JIRA, Topdesk and other process tracking tools
