Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor equipment functioning, observe temperature, level, and flow, perform regular equipment checks to ensure all equipment is operating as it should.
Control operation of compressors, scrubbers, dehy equipment to compress natural gas.
Operate natural gas equipment. Start up and shut down equipment.
Record, review, and compile operations records, test results, and gauge readings such as temperatures, pressures, flow rates, levels, and volumes.
Adjust temperature, pressure, level, flow rate, and/or transfer of gas to maintain processes at required levels or to correct problems.
Review log sheets to optimize efficiency and detect malfunctions and abnormal operating conditions.
Requires work on all shifts as sole person responsible for entire operation
Responsible for adjusting supplies through use of remote-control regulators and valves as needed to maintain sufficient system pressures and flows
Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to SCADA system alarms, DCS system and the recognition of unusual conditions that do not generate alarms while notifying appropriate responding personnel
Coordinate and monitor operation of the company’s gas storage facility
Responsible for the safe operation of a company vehicle during the course of performing required work duties

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is an advantage but not required.
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
5 plus years’ experience of gas storage, gathering/pipeline or processing operations experience preferred
Knowledge of basic physics, chemistry, gas pressure regulators, gas flow measurement and related gas industry terminology
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Be compliant with all OSHA, DOT, FERC regulations, state, and federal regulations
Abide by all industry and plant safety policies.
Ability to pass random drug testing
Must complete and pass a physical
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive safely
Physical demands, environment and schedule
Work Environment - Work is performed in an office/ plant environment outdoors and in all weather conditions
After required 3 – 6 month training, year-round rotating work schedule including, weekends, holidays and being on-call. Works primarily 8 hour days.
Occasional over-time and call outs.
