In this Network Security Administrator position you will make impacts to SecureIT with the knowledge and skillet to harden networking equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls working hand and hand with IA to provide guidance and supportability to enhance cyber capacity on the network ;
Maintains smooth operation of a variety of networks. Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and softwareinterconnection and interfacing.
Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
Apply, maintain, and audit device hardening standards (e.g., DISA STIGs and Benchmarks) across all network routers, switches, and firewalls
Regularly scan network hardware for vulnerabilities, analyze results, and apply patches/firmware updates to address security flaws
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Professional Skills
An active Secret Clearance is required
Current Security or equivalent security certification
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in a production environment
Minimum of a High School Diploma and 5-7 or more years of relevant experience
Ability to independently research solutions to problems and propose viable solutions
Ability to work with multiple teams to accomplish complex tasks
Comfortable working with multiple vendors in a heterogeneous environment
Technical skills
Familiarity with at least one virtualization platform
Excellent understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies
Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS, spanning tree, and ether-channel
Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static OSPF & BGP
Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection
Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices
Familiarity with implementing networking hardening standards
Experience with IP-Sec VPNs and GRE
Network Security Skills
Apply, maintain, and audit device hardening standards (e.g., DISA STIGs and Benchmarks) across all network routers, switches, and firewalls.
Regularly scan network hardware for vulnerabilities, analyze results, and apply patches/firmware updates to address security flaws.
Configure and monitor logging across firewalls and network devices to detect suspicious activity and ensure compliance.
Maintain secure, encrypted, and regularly updated backups of network device configuration files.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and Ethernet
Familiarity with networking requirements for high performance storage systems
Experience with network virtualization and SD-WAN
A basic knowledge of programming languages like Python
Understand EVPN-VXLAN overlay architectures
Experience with VMware network architectures
Use of data center orchestration technologies such as Apstra
Familiarity with multicast technologies and anycast routing
Experience with high speed Ethernet technologies (25GB, 40GB, & 100GB physical implementation)
Familiarity with public cloud technologies
Work in a GitOps style automation pipeline
Technical skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
